Silicone TriClamp Gaskets in Distillation.

I did a test with 80 proof vodca and a pressure cooker. I boiled the silicone gasket under pressure in the vodca. This would subject the silicone to harsher chemical attack than would normally be experienced during atmospheric distillation. After about 45 minutes, I turned it off, cooled it down, and upon inspection, there was no detectable change in the silicone gasket.

Anyone have any other experieces with silicone gaskets?

I apologise, but, in my opinion, you are mistaken. I suggest it to discuss. Write to me in PM, we will communicate.
